Early in his career, Ryan James Mankowski worked as a Registered Pharmacy Technician within a local hospital. Utilizing tools such as Pyxis, he helped ensure patients got their necessary medications while supporting the rest of the care staff. He managed numerous phone calls over the years, providing assistance to nursing staff and other departments and ensuring the necessary medicinal supplies were available.
While Ryan James Mankowski enjoyed working in the pharmacy, he decided he wanted to pursue more direct patient care and pursued the necessary education to become a Registered Nurse (RN). From 2014 until 2020, Ryan worked in various acute care settings, managing care plans in progressive care units, orthopedic units, and neurology. This involved monitoring, assessing and caring for patients recovering from strokes, orthopedic surgeries, heart attacks, sepsis, and other acute conditions.

His experience includes managing electronic medical records and using technologies such as Pyxis, PULSE, Meditech, and PSS. Ryan has always been interested in the development of medical technology and is excited to see how it continues to develop to serve patients more efficiently in the future.
Considering his interest in medical technology, when Ryan James Mankowski had the opportunity to pivot his career to remote telehealth work, he was excited to take on the challenge. Working within a specific insurance network, Ryan took calls that spanned all specialties and populations, from mental health crises to pediatric cases. He learned to work quickly to assess a patient’s condition over a video call, triaging symptoms and providing recommendations and resources for further care as needed. This often involved sharing appropriate CDC links or connecting patients with mental health resources.
In his telehealth role, Ryan James Mankowski expanded both his technological competencies and his knowledge of patient care. He handled 911 and crisis interactions on a regular basis, navigated complex health situations, and even operated as a team coach to help drive growth and improve metrics. As part of this, he helped deliver employee recognition, improving team morale and expanding his education skills. He learned to utilize new tech tools such as Dragon Medical One, Citrix, and MedNet, which helped him to deliver adequate care remotely while managing paperwork securely.
